Meeting Descriptions

Please note: Although many of our meetings occur in churches, Gamblers Anonymous is not affiliated in any way with any religion or sect. Also, regardless of where members may live, they are encouraged to attend meetings at any location. Meetings make it!

TYPES OF MEETINGS:

  1. CLOSED MEETINGS: GA members only
  2. OPEN MEETINGS: Spouse, family member or friend of the gambler is welcome to attend and observe the meeting.
  3. MODIFIED CLOSED MEETINGS: Same as “Closed meeting” but the members would vote to include certain groups such as health professionals, guests attending with first time members, and persons with other addictions in need of a meeting.

***All meetings have handicap access (HA) either through elevator or chairlift. The Wednesday AM Hamburg, the Thursday Getzville and the Friday Hamburg groups meet on the ground floor of their respective facilities.

SUNDAY (1 meeting)

7:00 – 9:00pm Eggertsville/Buffalo G.A. CLOSED MEETING Trinity Old Lutheran Church 3445 Sheridan Drive Eggertsville, NY 14226. Enter through side door on Larch Street; proceed upstairs and to the left. Meeting format: topic or step discussion followed by therapy. There is a short break halfway through the meeting.

MONDAY (2 meetings)

WEDNESDAY (3 meetings)

11:00am – 12:30pm Hamburg Wednesday Morning G.A. MODIFIED CLOSED MEETING Revive Wesleyan Church 4999 McKinley Pkwy Hamburg, NY 14075 Enter through outside door #3 (with canopy). Proceed straight then bear right through the Atrium to the Garden View Room. Meeting format: topic or step discussion.

7:00 – 8:30pm West Seneca/Buffalo G.A. CLOSED MEETING St. David’s Episcopal Church 3951 Seneca Street West Seneca, NY 14224 Enter through the rear door and proceed downstairs. Meeting format: topic or step discussion.

7:00 – 8:30pm North Tonawanda G.A.
